Our story
The company's history has its roots in different historical periods.
It all began when grandfather MAURO SALVATORE started his career at the age of 18 in a large company dedicated to the sale and processing of plexiglass in the province of Naples. During this time, the company's distinctive expertise in the processing and thermoforming of plastic materials began to take shape.
In those years, there were many challenges in achieving goals, but the strength and determination to continue a job that was considered innovative and difficult for the time were never lost.
Over the years, the company has persevered in the creation of significant products for thermoforming, using processes that are now considered outdated but were, at the time, the only available production methods for plastic processing in Italy.
In the 1960s, grandfather Salvatore was succeeded in leading the company by his sons Gaetano and Luigi, Gennaro and Giovanni, who continued to carry on the technical and professional legacy left by their father. It was during this time that the first processes began for the production of thermoplastic products in the aeronautical and naval sectors.
First with "Tutto Plastica" and then with "Euro Plexiglass", the two began attending training and refresher courses in Germany focused on plastic processing. With the arrival of the first CNC machines, the company started producing molds professionally and precisely, offering extremely competitive products for that era’s market.
Over the years, they further specialized in the thermoforming of plastic materials, becoming a point of reference for companies in Southern Italy. Indeed, the first tentative efforts began for the production of aircraft canopies for ultralight planes and windshields for the nautical sector. The company started acquiring new and cutting-edge machinery for those times, always maintaining the craftsmanship of plexiglass products, which require significant subjective and manual expertise that no machine can replicate even today! Not by chance, most aeronautical work is still carried out manually by highly specialized operators trained over time.
The company continued its journey under the leadership of Luigi Mauro until the 2010s, when his two children, Salvatore and Natalia Mauro, took over. The two siblings now lead the company with competence and dedication, carrying forward a story of over 50 years that has shaped the skills and expertise passed down from father to child—a rare example of entrepreneurial continuity that we seldom hear about.
Today, the company presents itself in a modern and innovative way, producing high-quality and safe aeronautical components.
The establishment of the company's R&D department ensures innovative projects and material research that continually bring new solutions and quality to a field like thermoforming, which is always evolving technically. Many clients in the aeronautical sector use our plastic canopies for the construction of their aircraft.
Today, after more than 70 years of activity, our company is a benchmark in the production of aircraft windows, collaborating with leading European and international manufacturers.
